RDT's Dance Twirl Teachers                       

Shannon Donnelly-

Shannon began Revolution Dance Twirl from her passion for both Dance and Twirling. She started Baton Twirling at a young age and twirled with local clubs in Burnie. She competed with many other Burnie Twirlers at local, State and National Championships, in various events such as Solo, Duo, Two Baton, Specialised & Strut. She later went on to begin Dancing at the age of 14, practicing Jazz, Modern Ballet & Funk for many years, and briefly learned Disco and Tap, she also taught Modern Ballet & Movement to Music & loves many other styles of Dance, such as Contemporary, Lyrical & Hip Hop.

Shannon enjoys working with children and loves watching them grow and improve, and helping them to achieve their goals in both Dancing and Baton Twirling. She is also passionate about building confidence and helping to develop other important and valuable life skills obtained from this great sport.

For the past 3 years Shannon has travelled interstate to the ABTA Development camp to obtain her coaching qualifications.


  • Qualified Level 2 Registered Coach with the Australian Baton Twirling Association.

  • Completed an online Community Coaching course with the Australian Institute of Sport.

  • Registered member with the ABTA.

  • Has a current Working with Children card.                          

Teachers Assistant-Brianna Donnelly.

Brianna enjoys being a Teachers assistant with RDT and is great with all of our Members, particularly our younger members and beginners. She began dancing at the age of 4 and has previous dance experience in Modern Ballet, Funk, Hip Hop, Latin Hip Hop & Contemporary. She recently represented Revolution Dance Twirl at the Burnie Eisteddfod as our Junior soloist and performed her first Lyrical Dance Twirl routine in which she received 3rd place. She also performed a Duet with one of our Juvenile members in which they also received 3rd place.
